お客様が生まれた日に、初代が植えた一本の杉の木。
その木は、ご家族とともに季節を重ね、今日まで静かに育ってきました。
そして今、その杉は新しい役割を迎えます。
玄関框に。敷台に。床の間に。
「家」を象徴する場所として、暮らしを支える木になります。
この日は、お客様と一緒に山へ向かい、
杉の様子を見ながら、どの部分を使うか丁寧に相談しました。
木は、ただの材料ではありません。
生まれてから今日までの時間、家族の会話、季節の風、
すべてをその年輪に刻みながら生きてきた存在です。
「この木で家をつくる」という行為は、
家族の歴史を、未来の暮らしへつなぐこと。
これから、杉は形を変え、家の中で静かに、そして確かに息づきます。
お客様が毎日を過ごすたびに、
玄関に触れるたびに、
「ただいま」と言葉を交わすたびに、

On the day our client was born, a single cedar tree was planted by the first generation of the family.
That tree has grown quietly over the years, sharing the same seasons and time with the family.
Now, it is about to take on a new role.
As the entrance step.
As the threshold.
As the alcove’s symbolic wood grain.
It will become part of the heart of the home.
We visited the mountain together to see the cedar,
carefully choosing which parts to use and how to bring out its character.
The tree is not simply “material.”
It carries years of wind, family voices, memories, and time within its rings.
To build a home with this tree is to connect family history to the life that will unfold within the house.
As the cedar transforms and becomes part of the home,
it will quietly continue to live there—
gently watching over every “welcome home,”
every touch,
every shared moment.
